Harbord Beach Hotel, Harbord 7:00 PM Olivia deVere

With a solid and varied body of work in her repertoire and over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, Olivia de Vere transitions with ease between acting, presenting, MC’ing and styling. Her wicked sense of humour, infectious zest for life and poised, confident manner makes this stunning natural red head the ideal candidate for any campaign or presenting role.

After embarking on a personal journey that took her to the four corners of the earth as an intrepid gypset traveler, Olivia returned to her hometown of Sydney. She honed her craft over four intensive years, training as a method actor under the late Hayes Gordon at the renowned Ensemble Theatre Acting Studios.

As a model Olivia has headed up both national and international campaigns for internationally recognized brands such as Fairfax & Roberts and Schwarzkopf. Formally trained as a theatre actor, Olivia is equally at home in front of the camera and her diverse roles have included stints on Channel 7's ‘All Saints’ and on the ABC’s ‘The Chasers War on Everything’.

Olivia is a natural MC and presenter. In recent years she has combined her extensive knowledge of fashion along with her innate ability to connect with an audience to host both the acclaimed 2010 Rosemount Fashion Festival – Australia’s premier fashion industry event - and the Miss Teen Australia Finals and Miss World Supermodel pageant.

Along with her busy schedule of appearances and performances, Olivia has also launched her own styling and image consultancy business, Fashion Fox. Olivia is a passionate stylist, working with renowned label Camilla the “Kaftan Queen”. Olivia is a Camilla ambassador styling at private events, celebrity fittings, fashion shows and shoots. Olivia instructs workshops both in the creative and corporate worlds specializing in deportment, grooming and voice. She is now busy at work presenting and producing on her latest project Fashion Fox TV, a multi-media fashion content program.

When Olivia is not working, you can find her indulging in her passion for all things Latin, flirting in fluent Spanish, shooting tequila and salsa dancing like no one is watching.  She is equally at home in the saddle, as a proficient horsewoman. She continues to challenge herself; her range is vast, unpredictable and constantly expanding. Join her on her journey.

As a budding actor, Alice is always looking for jobs that utilise her skills (and love) of performance and trivia ticks all the boxes. Alice prides herself on being a bit of a "Fame Trivia Filler-Innera" - you can find her covering for other hosts across Sydney.

"She won over everybody very quickly and did a very competent and entertaining show. We can’t recommend her more highly." - Fame Trivia regular punter, Denis Lynch (Harbord Hilton)

Bridgeview Hotel, Willoughby 7:30 PM Tim Shorter
Hi...I am the Managing Director of FAME Trivia and the writer of all our quizzes. I started out as a trivia host back in March of 1993 at the Bridgeview Hotel in Willoughby....and after almost a quarter of a Century....I'm still there every Wednesday night. During this time I am very happy to announce that people meeting at my Trivia Nights have resulted in 11 marriages. (Call me Cupid if you will).

My brother Jonathan and I took over FAME Trivia in March 1998 and have grown the business from 12 shows a week in Sydney to around 120 shows a week around Australia and a dozen weekly shows in Seattle, Washington .....which of course we are very proud of.

So come on down to the Bridgeview and join me for a fun night of trivia where any team can win the top prize. Cheers
Captain Cook Hotel, Millers Point (monthly) 6:30 PM James Overton
Castle Hill RSL Club, Castle Hill 8:00 PM Bob Wheatley

Bob was sitting in the public bar of Berowra Heights Hotel some time in the late 90¹s in his usual state of inebriation when a friend wandered in and asked him when the Manchester United air disaster was. "February 1958" he said and watched his friend wander into the other bar. "What the hell?" he thought, so he followed. As he walked through the door, some guy with a mic said "Who had the hit with this in the 80¹s?" and played  "Obsession¹ by Animotion. "Football trivia and obscure 80¹s music?! I¹ve found where I belong!" said Bob to himself, whilst a tear of happiness trickled down his cheek.

So for the next few years Bob played as much trivia as was possible and enjoyed the many benefits. Well, the drinks. So when he was asked to run a trivia night for Fame Trivia in Umina in 2001 he jumped at the chance whilst his liver sighed with relief. Since then he has regularly run trivia nights

2 or 3 times a week and made far too many inappropriate jokes in amongst the questions.

If you don¹t know him from trivia, you might know him as Benny, the world¹s bounciest keyboard player from Abbalanche, one of Australia¹s premier tribute shows. Or you may have just seen him in the street and laughed quietly to yourself. That¹s OK, most people do.

When asked to name their favourite thing about Bob, most of his friends plead the 5th amendment.

Even after 10 years of running trivia, Bob still knows nothing about Geography.

Twin Willows Hotel Motel, Bass Hill 7:30 PM Michael Sullivan
"Coming from a teaching background, I tend to be somewhat of a natural performer, good or bad, I'm not too sure, depends on the day of the week. I'm also a bit of a trivia tragic, host and player, but mainly host these days. I've been with Fame Trivia for over 15 years now, having started just after the Sydney Olympics in 2000. I absolutely love my job, and have met some fantastic people and teams over the years. Trivia is a great way for family and friends to catch up over a bite to eat and a drink to have a laugh and put their grey matter to the test each week. I'm actually glad to be hosting as there are some tough questions in our quizzes, so I don't think my grey matter would hold up! Anyway I hope to catch you out in trivia land soon, maybe at Twin Willows Hotel on Wednesday nights or Roseville Memorial Club on Thursday nights."
Union Hotel, Newtown 7:30 PM Craig Barker
Laying distinction to being (probably) the world's only archaeologist/trivia host, Craig also works at the museums at the University of Sydney, where he is gained a PhD in Classical Archaeology in 2003. He is the co-director of the University of Sydney's archaeological excavations of an ancient theatre in Paphos in Cyprus but has also dug on sites in Australia, Greece and Turkey, and has lectured and published on various ancient history subjects. He loves working as a trivia host so much he has been known to organise quiz nights in dighouses across the Mediterranean, especially when he is missing his regular crowds.

You can catch him on Wednesdays at the Union Hotel in Newtown and Thursdays at the Zetland Hotel in Zetland. But please don't make Indiana Jones jokes. Please!

Luckily FAME writes the questions at the quiz night, otherwise he would be inflicting you with trivial questions about his interests which include ancient Greek pottery, ska music, episodes of Doctor Who, and the films of Stanley Kubrick. Go on, ask him about 2500 year wine production methods....he dares you! Craig hopes to see you at a pub soon!
